La mwcaTENEX C Shell, o mwcqtcsh (pronunciato "T-shell") è una mwcgshell per sistemi mwcwUnix-like basata e compatibile con mwdaC shell (csh).

La "t" all'interno del nome sta per mwdgTENEX, un mwdwsistema operativo che diede l'ispirazione per il nome a Ken Greer, il creatore della mweqshell.

Le versioni iniziali di mwewmacOS proponevano come shell predefinita proprio tcsh, ma in seguito la scelta degli sviluppatori di casa mwfaApple è ricaduta su mwfqbash proponendola come shell di mwfgdefault a discapito di tcsh.

Caratteristiche

Essenzialmente è una mwggC shell che offre alcune caratteristiche aggiuntive come il completamento dei nomi dei file, mwgwcommand-line editing ed altre funzionalità aggiuntive.

Distribuzioni

Le versioni iniziali di mwhgmacOS proponevano come shell predefinita proprio tcsh, ma in seguito, dalla versione 10.3, si è optato per la shell mwhwbash proponendola come mwiadefault per i nuovi account.

La shell tcsh è quella di default in mwigFreeBSD e nei sistemi da questo derivati come mwiwDragonFly BSD, mwjaPC-BSD e mwjqDesktopBSD.
